I often forget about Copeland’s of New Orleans Restaurant hanging out in Restaurant Row in Rogers. While I pretty much avoid that area like the plague because there are so many look-alike/taste-alike restaurants, Copeland’s is unique enough to catch my attention. It’s perfect for a lunch meeting, an after-movie dessert and coffee, or if you are hosting a large party and need a private room. Theirs is a GREAT banquet room!
My husband and I grabbed a quick bite for lunch the other day at Copeland’s. He ordered the Tomato Basil Chicken dish that is served with angel hair pasta tossed with plum tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil and a touch of garlic. I stuck with a basic Blackened Chicken Skillet with vegetables on the side. If I am feeling particularly decadent, I will throw all caution to the wind and go with the ultimate of comfort food: Wood Grilled Chicken with Yams. Same grilled chicken, only this time it is on top of mashed sweet potatoes, garnished with roasted pecan pieces and caramelized onions. Oh wait, there’s more… it is drizzled with their homemade Worcestershire sauce and served with onion strings. Sigh. Release the endorphins.
Check out their entire menu, here.
I have a $15 penguin bill gift certificate to giveaway to Copeland’s, courtesy of my friend Dave with NWArestaurants.com! NWArestaurants has crazy deals on featured restaurants that sell out fast. Usually deals of 50% of gift certificates (aka “penguin bills”)! Check out his website, twitter, or facebook page! His site is great if you want to search for area restaurants and it has the ability to “filter” on key items, such as private rooms, gluten free, low carb, etc. Check it out!
Prize:
1 lucky winner will receive a $15 penguin bill gift certificate to Copeland’s located in Rogers. Contest ends Sunday, July 18th, at midnight. I will pick a winner via randomizer on Monday the 19th.
