The day isn’t over yet… are you ready for today’s giveaway?
Welcome
to Day 3 of nwafoodie’s annual anniversary week of
giveaways! Since it’s my-blog-turned-three
anniversary week, you deserve seven days of thank you giveaways.
Have you checked out Day 1 and Day 2 yet?
Today’s gift comes courtesy of Crepes Paulette, the best
food truck in Northwest Arkansas, in my humble opinion. What makes Crepes Paulette so utterly out-of-this
world? They melt in your mouth,
that’s why! This is an authentic French
crepe cart, baby. The real
stuff. They put the “ooo” in
oolala! Paula and her husband
Frederick, are the owners of this downtown Bentonville icon (the truck even has
a name, Madam Poupon). Frederick is French-born, a chef, and the two of them
are charming, adorable, and real. If you have never had a crepe before, now is
your chance to have a savory crepe of your choice (think eggs, or spinach, or
salsa, or mustard, yes, definitely mustard) and you also get a sweet crepe of
your choice (truthfully, you must have one with nutella, it would be a shame if
you didn’t try this one).

oh man. I LOVE Crepes Paulette! We've had two, but purchased the same one each time... the pecan pie one (caramel and pecans-- it's to die for!)

Hey Bloggerlinds! I haven't had the pecan pie one... oh me oh my! Thanks for the suggestion! Good luck!
DeleteMy favorite crepe is at Hugos! It is the grasshopper crepe. Always wanted to try these, so this would be the perfect reason!
ReplyDeleteOkay, yes, I have had the grasshopper crepe at Hugos, good, yes. But seriously, Crepes Paulette is in in its own league! You HAVE to go and check it out!!!
DeleteI would love to enter the contest.. thanks, Becky zielske@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteYou're in!
DeleteI've been known to drive to Bentonville just for Crepes Paulette. And my kids love watching them make the crepes (I do, too!) Please, randomizer, pick me, pick me!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is mesmerizing, isn't it? In the summertime, the kiddos can play in the splash zone across the street, you can buy fresh produce and sundries at the farmer's market on Wednesday, or in the winter go ice skating! All with a crepe in one hand!
Deleteand I facebook and twittered you. :)
ReplyDeleteYou get +2 extra entries!!! Good for you (and thanks Amy!)
DeleteAre the food trucks open in December? Heading to the Fayetteville area for Christmas break and am looking forward to some nice Arkansas food.
ReplyDeleteWe (Crepes Paulette) will certainly be open over the entire winter!
DeleteMy favorite time of the year to visit you guys, Paula, is during the winter! LOVE< LOVE> LOVE> your daily soups, too!!
DeleteI'd like to enter! I have only had one crepe before, a homemade nutella crepe my friend made me. I didn't know there were savory crepes, but I think I might prefer sweet... not sure! : ) May have to try both if I win. I've never heard of Crepes Paulette either! Good to know.
ReplyDeleteConsider yourself entered!!
DeleteYes, try both!! Good luck!
Love Crepes Paulette! I love a fruit and nutella sweet crepe
ReplyDeleteWith a Paulette Palmer! Enter me please! @christieNWA
Now that is a decisive decision! You're entered!!

I have never had crepes and I'd LOVE to try them. It'd be hard to decide, but I think I'd pick a savory one!
ReplyDelete@graciefabulous
I fb'd and tweeted this too!
The good news is... if you win.. you won't have to choose! You get one of each!! :)
DeleteThanks for fb'ing and tweeting... +2 for you!
I've never had a crepe, but I think I would prefer a sweet crepe. I envision something with cream cheese....ummm
ReplyDeleteNever ever had a crepe before? Dude, we must fix that! Especially since we have world-class crepes in our back yard!
DeleteI LOVE crepes, but I haven't eaten one in ... too long! I would pick sweet ;)
ReplyDeleteBecause... you are so sweet! :)
DeleteI don't think my second comment went through, but I also facebook and tweeted you. And my twitter name is LKWootWoot, name Lyndsey Weber.
ReplyDeleteIt did! Thanks Lyndsey!
DeleteLove a curry crepe!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not a "sweet" crepe!
DeleteSweet and Savory! When you visit Crepes Paulette, you have to have BOTH.
ReplyDeleteI like your way of thinking...!
DeleteI've had a crepe once when I was in Japan a few years ago. They had lots of crepe places, but I didn't really care for it. I'd definitely love to try one of the crepes at Crepes Paulette. I think I'd like a sweet one :)
ReplyDeleteCrepes are definitely French -- so for your own sake you must try a real one. :)
DeleteFor savory, I like spinach, or cheese. Sweet is more difficult there are so many choices! I like the plain with lemon and powdered sugar, or walnut and banana.
ReplyDeleteAll very necessary and delightful.
DeleteFacebook
ReplyDelete+1 extra, thanks!
Deleteand twitter (penguinsilja)
ReplyDelete+1 another extra - gracias!
DeleteI haven't had a lot of crepes other than Hugo's. I checked out the Crepes Paulette menu. I'm a fan of anything with Pesto, so I'd like to try la jardin!
ReplyDeleteThat one is my favorite - pesto and chicken is a perfect pairing! Good luck!
DeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! My friends and I have been there many times. I drive from Springdale just to go there! I have tried the la complete and the la pistou (by far my favorite and hard to order anything other than this)!!! I was afraid of the savory crepes at first but I like them almost more than the sweet. Depends on my mood that day! Sweet crepe... I've only had the nutella and nutella/fresh strawberry. You can't go wrong with either! Although one day I want to try the la s'more! I may have to make a trip to Bentonville in the next few days. My mouth is watering! I would love to win this giveaway!
DeleteYes... it is very necessary that you make this trip in the next few days. You need to try the nutella and banana. And the la complete and the la pistou misses you.
DeleteOoo, so cool, Lyndi! Thank you so much for including us in your rocking giveaway. I am definitely posting this on FB and twitter!
ReplyDelete** EVERYBODY, MEET PAULA, FROM CREPES PAULETTE! **
DeletePaula, thank YOU for hosting this giveaway and suggesting both a savory and a sweet crepe!! Thanks for sharing on facebook and twitter! (and, thanks for the nice tweet about nwafoodie blog!)
Happy Wednesday, that means crepe day!
I pretty much live for crepes. My personal favorite includes Nutella or some other chocolate with fruit. Mmmmmmmm . . . .
ReplyDeleteNutella with bananas, definitely! Let's go there!
DeleteHave not got to try one yet but have wanted to soooooo bad!!!! Would love a sweet yummy crepe!!!
ReplyDeleteThen now is your time!!!! Come on already and try it!!
DeleteI haven't tried them but would love to especially try the sweet version! Mendy. Lacyfamily@cox.net
ReplyDeleteOnce you go to Crepes Paulette, you'll want to bring all of your friends, family, and out of town guests. Besides the delishy-ness, it is so charming!
DeleteI grew up eating authentic crêpes(born and raised in France) so it would be interesting to see what they taste like there. I wasn't very impressed with Hugo's crêpes.
ReplyDeleteAWK! I have no idea who this is and WHAT IF you win? Hugo's is definitely not the French-style crepes. I really want to know who you are so we chat!
DeleteI had a bananas foster crepe from there and literally about died.

ReplyDeleteIt's so adorable, isn't it? And the location is so quirky and yet so perfect! Good luck!
Deleteate there last week...love the classic!
ReplyDeleteIt's called the classic for a reason!
Deletedaniemariegray@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteCrepes Paulette is my favorite!!!!! And they're walking distance from my work (another plus). I like getting the spicy chicken and the delicious. I do the spicy piggy when they don't have the chicken. I've gotten my boyfriend and co-workers hooked as well.
Tried the other crepe place in pinnacle, cause was advised it was good. It's got nothing compared to Paulette's.
(shared on facebook as well)
If I was within walking distance, I would be there every day they were open. Not kidding.
DeleteNothing compares to Paulette's crepes.
+1 extra for facebooking - thank you!
I have not tried Paulette's yet because the line is always so long and my 2 1/2 year old is usually with me but I do love crepes!! Ate them for 7 days straight in Paris and have yet to find any as good in the states... this just made me more determined to get there sans toddler!!
ReplyDeleteIt's good for your 2 1/2 year old to know that it is perfectly acceptable to wait in line for a wonderful food experience. :)
DeleteEat them and experience Paris all over again. Talk to Paula's husband Frederick because he is from France and has an awesome accent. Oooolala
Everyone in my family tried a crepe from Crepes Paulette.... We had two sweet and two savory. We all loved them, and shared with each other, but the BEST was the sweet turtle crepe! Nice and warm, mmmmmm!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmanda K amandakentner@gmail.com
I love that you all shared.
DeleteFolks -- THAT's what I am talking about! You're so foodie!
Crepes paulette is one of my favorite places to eat. They have the best crepes ever( even better than the crepes I've had in France)!! My favorite is the Quebec which has ham and syrup.

You heard it here, folks! "even better than the crepes I've had in France". 'nuf said.
DeleteOkay, side note... Quebec City is my absolute favorite vacation spot in the entire world. Entire.
My family visited Crepes Paulette at the Bentonville Farmers Market. We had 4 Crepes, that we shared 2 sweet and 2 savory, and they were amazing! The family favorite was the sweet turtle-- warm chocolate and pecans.... So good! Yummmmy!!!!!! And loved talking with the owner as we waited for our order. Can't wait to go back!
ReplyDeleteamandakentner@gmail.com
Glad that you re-entered this twice so we could here how you loved talking with the owner while you wait. Seriously, this is what makes Crepes Paulette extra special.
DeleteMy favorite is simple butter and sugar !
ReplyDeleteSimplicity = pure delight.
DeleteI love the Nutella and Banana sweet ones. YUM

My favorite sweet crepe, too!
DeleteI love Crepes Paulette! I used to love sweet crepes but can no longer have gluten. The buckwheat crepes are gluten free though - yay! My favorite on CP's menus is the #1 with jalapenos. My favorite sweet crepe was anything with Nutella.
ReplyDeleteAimee, I was gluten-free for five years and used the buckwheat crepes for both the sweet and savory. I think I kinda' like them better. Try it, you can still have your crepe and eat it, too.
DeleteSea salt caramel is my fave!
ReplyDeleteEatoutNWA
This one is new for me. Thanks for sharing, Don!
DeleteYes yes yes - I have had crepes! I love any kind of crepe, but I adore savory ones. I especially adore them with some bite (perhaps some feta?). You can find me on twitter @ErinJepson when I win ;)
ReplyDeleteDijon Mustard! It's the perfect bite!!!
DeleteGood luck Erin!!
And I tweeted the giveaway @ErinJepson :)
ReplyDeleteI saw that, thanks Erin.
DeleteI've never eaten there, but am definitely going to!
ReplyDeleteThe pecan pie sounds like a great first choice. :)
cltadkins@yahoo.com
Any choice is a perfect first choice. Pecan pie will do. :)
DeleteJ'adore Fred et Paula Jo! However, DON'T register me to win - I love to go shell out money to support them, and I go anyway - just had to share my love for Madame Poupon and this fabulous creperie.
ReplyDeleteGO check them out if you have not yet, you can't go wrong! Everything is absolutely scrumptious.
Okay, consider yourself not registered to win. :)
Delete*** BETH at www.foodadventuress.com is the one who introduced me to Crepes Paulette!!! ***
I have only had the sweet crepe. I would LOVE to try a savory one, but I just can't bear to order anything other than the banana/nutella crepe when I have to eat there! lol And I just love to watch her work..it's so cool to see the crepes made. Such a neat thing!!
ReplyDeleteI challenge you to try the savory crepes AND the sweet!
DeleteThe way Paula makes the crepes makes me wish I, too, was a crepe maker. Maybe she'll let us try it?
Their crepes are SO delicious. I haven't had a savory one yet, but it's on my list of important things to accomplish!
ReplyDeleteLiz Splinter
elizabethriner@yahoo.com
That is a great list!
DeleteI have never tried one, but I think I would prefer savory :-)
ReplyDeleteThe both rock it. I'm mostly a savory gal.

DeleteThanks Angie!
eaten there twice!! had a classic the second time, and a La Foster the first. BOTH were delicious!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a bad one, yet! In the fall/winter, they make soup, too.
Deletetweeted!! @mrsEmmaBall
ReplyDelete+1, thank you.
DeleteI took my niece and nephew there after ice skating one evening and the kids got smores and I got the pecan crepes. They were awesome! It was the first time I had seen Paula since high school and great to catch up and support a local business. Debbie (dalubbers@yahoo.com)
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you know Paula from high school. Small world! But then again, it really is a small world in NWA!
DeleteSounds like a perfect day. Thanks for your support!
It was great to see you, too, Debbie!
DeleteI have shared this on my FB page. Debbie (dalubbers@yahoo.com)
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie.

Crepes Paulette is a little bit of heaven in the middle of Bentonville. The la pistou is pretty fabulous and I typically always resort to my staple Nutella & Banana for a special treat. (@FabulousK2)
ReplyDelete"Crepes Paulette is a little bit of heaven in the middle of Bentonville." <- love that quote, and yes, I agree!
DeleteCan you enter from here? If so I grew up eating authentic crêpes(born and raised in France). I think it would be interesting to see if crêpes taste close to home there. I wasn't very impressed with Hugo's.
ReplyDeleteGiles from fb comment
Hugos crepes and Crepes Paulette are two completely different worlds. Go check out Crepes Paulette, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. You may actually cry with happiness. Not kidding.
